![]() ![]() Never lag or desync at unlimited on Ultra on our super computers. Originally posted by Little Black Duck:There weren't dedicated servers, CoH has always been Peer-to-Peer. There are ways to use Windows to change the affinity, but I use Process Lasso to do it. Description Sourav20 has returned with update number three of his popular mod This version will see some fixes as well as some changes, but the core of the mod remains the same. I think that I have reduced the lags and desync's caused by slight processing time differences between players' CPUs where the threads would be waiting for multicore completion. I haven't completely eliminated desync's but they are rare now. Gameplay is fast-paced, and alongside the interesting scenario make for a fresh CoH experience. I have assigned the game's (RelicCoH.exe) affinity to only 3 full cores (0,2,4), not hyperthreads and it in fact runs better. The mod gives units visual upgrades with new skins, and the playable factions Germany and the British Commonwealth introduce new play styles that weren’t previously common. ![]() My CPU is a four core i7 with Hyperthreading. I have reduced the number of desync's my group gets by giving CPU affinity to at first 2 and now 3 cores instead of all 8. It also changes some of the mechanics, so maybe it might not suit you well, though. When CoH was released, dual-core CPUs were only very new. It says: Population Limit : 200 till 1000, so I assume it increases pop-cap up to 1000. I will repost here also what I have posted in "How to eliminate desync" : There weren't dedicated servers, CoH has always been Peer-to-Peer. ![]()
